MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ahead of their matchup with the Miami Marlins, Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick joined Sargento and Hunger Task Force in the Summer Sizzle event at Merrill Park.
The Milwaukee Brewers players helped in passing out free nutritious meals to youth and even participated in some fun tailgating activities like kickball and cornhole.
All kids were given a complimentary glove to take home after the activities.
"It's just giving back to the community, you know, being a part of it, just making sure we're getting around, meeting kids, and just giving back, it's something we like to do, and you the brewers do a great job setting up these type of events," said Sal Frelick, Brewers outfielder.
There is a total of 170 Hunger Task Force sites across Milwaukee County who will serve over 600,000 kids across the community this summer.
