Brewers get barrage of early runs to give Nelson win in debut

MIAMI - Jimmy Nelson's major league debut was remarkably easy in Miami.

Given three runs of support before he took the mound, Nelson shut down the Marlins lineup in a 7-1 win Sunday afternoon at Marlins Park.

Nelson was filling in for Yovani Gallardo, who missed his regularly scheduled turn because of injury.

Ryan Braun had four hits, falling a home run short of the cycle.

The Brewers return home Monday afternoon.
