Brewers fall to Cubs in series opener

Milwaukee -

Adam Lind and Khris Davis homered for the Brewers, but it wasn't enough in a 9-5 loss to the Cubs in the opener of a three-game series at Wrigley Field Monday.

Wily Peralta struggled against the red hot Cubs, allowing six earned runs in 4.2 innings, walking four while striking out only two. Davis's home run was his 23rd of the season. He started the month of August with only eight long balls.
