Brewers drop homestand finale 2-0 to Mets

MILWAUKEE -  Mets pitcher Jacob DeGrom and three relievers combined to shut out the Brewers 2-0 Sunday at Miller Park.

Lucas Duda provided all the offense the Mets needed against Jimmy Nelson with a two-run homer in the sixth inning. Nelson pitched seven innings and gave up just the two runs.

The Brewers finished 5-2 on the homestand, but dropped a game in the NL Central standings after the Cardinals' 1-0 win over the Cubs in Chicago. St. Louis trails Milwaukee by just two games in the division.

The Brewers travel to Tampa Bay and St. Louis this week in a six-game road trip.
