Brewers back on the winning track after six straight losses
The Milwaukee Brewers added a win to their record Saturday night with a 9-8 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Brewers were leading most of the game, but the Phillies came back to tie it in the 8th.
Ryan Braun had a hot bat for the Brewers going 3-3 with a single, a double and a home run. Travis Shaw also hit a home run for the Brewers.
Starting pitcher Brent Suter went six strong innings for the Brewers, giving up just one earned run on five hits, but the Brewers bullpen let the Phillies back in the game in the late innings.
Both teams had 13 hits, but the Brewers cashed in on their 13th hit to plate the ninth and winning run in the top of the ninth inning.
The Brewers record now stands at 53-47, which is one game above the Chicago Cubs (50-46).
