SUPERIOR, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Wisconsin teenager is fighting to dance on the team of all girls.
Kaiden Johnson of Superior has filed a Title IX complaint with the US Department of Education after he says he was told he couldn't compete with the team because he's a boy.
A non-profit group representing Johnson says that it is unconstitutional.
"They don't want boys dancing and if that's their position, they'll have to justify it in court," said Joshua Thompson with the Pacific League Foundation.
So far, the state high school league has not responded.
If the Department of Education agrees the rule is discriminatory, it could strike down similar regulations nationwide.
