BEACH PARK, ILLINOIS (CBS 58) -- CBS News in Chicago is reporting the body of a teenage boy who went missing while swimming at Illinois Beach State Park has been recovered in Lake Michigan.
That is according to the Lake County Coroner's Office.
Officials say they initially responded to the beach on Tuesday, July 22 for reports of a beachgoer who went underwater and did not resurface.
CBS Chicago says the body was recovered on Friday in the general area of the north beach.
Coroners identified the victim as 14-year-old Kyle Williams of Milwaukee.
The autopsy, conducted on Friday, indicated that the teen's death is consistent with drowning.
