Body Armor, Gun, and 50 Grams of Heroin Found in 65-Year-Old Racine Man's Residence

A 65-year-old man was arrested in Racine on Monday night after police located 50 grams of heroin, and handgun, body armor, and cash in his residence.  

Agents from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit, Drug Task Force officers from the Milwaukee D.E.A office and deputies from the Racine County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant in the 4200 block of Durand Avenue, Racine.

According to a release by police, located in the residence was over 50 grams of heroin, ½ ounce of cocaine, a .357 handgun, body armor, a digital scale, packaging material and cash.  The heroin has an approximate street value of $6500. 

Arrested was Samuel L. Griffin, age 65, Racine, WI  and he is being held at the Racine County jail for the following charges: Possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine; Keeper of a drug house for sales; Possession of drug paraphernalia; and Possession of a firearm by a felon. 

The following two individuals were arrested when they came to the residence and tried to purchase drugs from Griffin.

Jay R. Bulanek, age 27 of Kansasville, WI.

Christopher J. Jones, age 37 of Kansasville, WI.
