MILWAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele doesn't usually show up for meetings of the County Board but he did on Thursday.
Abele and Board Chairman Theo Lipscomb signed something called the 'Fair Deal Resolution.'
It's something that they've been working on for months.
It's a call to State Government in Madison to send more money to the county.
Abele believes new Governor Tony Evers may be more receptive to what the county considers fair funding.
"Some of you I'm sure enjoyed with me having a governor who's publicly talking about the fact, at public meetings, hey, I get it, you are paying more into the state than you're getting back, that's not sustainable. That's a good place to start," said Chris Abele.
The County Board approved the Fair Deal resolution unanimously.
