Winter Weather Advisory issued, snow continues overnight
Block watch captains from Grasslyn Manor and Dineen Park brought picket signs to the Fire and Police Commission Thursday evening.
They're demanding increased traffic enforcement in their neighborhood, especially along Sherman Boulevard and Capitol Drive.
"We want to see some action," said organizer Steve O'Connell. "We're really concerned about the number of crashes in our neighborhood."
The group is asking the Fire and Police Commission to come up with a plan and provide it about how the Milwaukee Police Department will operate to address concerns.
They're also asking for a monthly report on the number of tickets issues for speeding and reckless driving.
O'Connell said that he has seen some good police work.
He recalled a recent traffic stop he witnessed where the officers found a creative way to stop the car without a confrontation or high speed chase.
