MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Many stores across the area are running out of salt ahead of Monday night’s expected snowfall.
However, managers at Bliffert Hardware in Milwaukee say they’ve had a steady stream of business and won’t run out of salt anytime soon.
Supervisor Drew Falzetti says unlike other businesses, Bliffert buys hundreds of tons of salt at the beginning of every winter and keeps it on hand.
“Most stores have to do a week by week ordering system and unfortunately, everyone else doing a week by week ordering system is going to be ordering the same products when everyone else is running out, causing shortages at their sources,” he said.
Bliffert Hardware expects to have enough salt to get through the rest of winter.
