Big Clean MKE: Citywide beautification effort held in honor of housing inspector killed in 2017

CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The citywide Big Clean MKE initiative is happening Tuesday, in recognition of Earth Day.
This annual event is held in honor of city housing inspector Greg "Ziggy" Zyszkiewicz, who was fatally shot during an attempted carjacking eight years ago.
The event kicked off Tuesday afternoon at Pete's Fruit Market on MLK Drive, with food, music, and a cleanup of the area.
City leaders and volunteers say this day is just one of the many ways people can give back to the community they live in.
