(CBS 58) -- Former Vice President Joe Biden spoke to voters in Milwaukee, pushing them to vote for the State's Democrats, including the Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Tony Evers.

Tuesday's visit marks the second visit from the previous White House administration in the last five days. The former vice president was also in Madison on Tuesday.

Biden had a similar message to Barack Obama's on Friday: this midterm election is about character.

Biden, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tony Evers, and Lieutenant Governor candidate Mandela Barnes all stressed the importance to Democrats in the audience about getting to the polls.

Biden's speech was less about policy than Obama's speech at North Division High School on October 26. The former vice president focused more on the personality of the current Trump administration.

Biden says voters have a chance to restore a sense of dignity to our political system in the midterm election.

He also talked about the recent shooting in Pittsburgh as an example of division in America. He says voters have the power to change the way the country is headed.

"Before we're Democrats, before we're Republicans, before we're Independents, before we're Labor, we're Americans. We've got to step up. We are so much better, so much better than the way this county has acted the last 18 months," Biden said.

Incumbent Governor Scott Walker will get a similar visit on November 3. Vice President Pence is expected to campaign for him in Hudson.

President Donald Trump's son Eric was also in Wisconsin on Tuesday rallying for Republicans, including U.S. Senate candidate Leah Vukmir.

His visit comes less than a week away after the president held a rally in Mosinee.

Eric Trump was in Sheboygan and in the central part of the state on Tuesday.
