Bidding begins for Shops of Grand Avenue

MILWAUKEE--The Grand Avenue Mall is now officially up for auction with a minimum starting bid of 4. 75 million dollars. The online bidding opened Tuesday and ends on Friday.

The Wisconsin Avenue Milwaukee Development Corp. is participating in the bidding process. The group is made up of local investors and city leaders with the goal to revive the shops of Grand Avenue.

Tyrone Trice has been renting space at the mall since January. He owns TKO Fashions. He knew it wouldn't be easy to start a new business in a mall that appears to be struggling.

\"I have a lot of faith in my sales ability and a lot of faith in God. We have been surviving so far,\"said Trice. He is surviving, but not necessarily thriving. He is hoping that changes soon.
