Bicyclist Hit by Car in Jefferson County

At 6:32 on Saturday, May 28 Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a car versus bicyclist crash.
The crash occurred on US Highway 18 just west of County Highway Y in the town of Jefferson. The investigation indicates that a bicycle operated by a 47-year-old man was crossing Highway 18 at a cross walk when he was struck by a car driving west driven by a 24-year-old man.
The 47-year-old bicyclist was taken to Aurora Summit Hospital by ambulance with head injuries. The car driver was not injured.
