Beyond Van Gogh extends through October in Wisconsin Center

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Center (WCD) announced that its newest event, Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, will extend its run through Sunday, Oct. 31.

The announcement came on Monday, Aug. 2 after the Wisconsin Center said the event was already the highest grossing event in the organization's history. Officials say 100,000 tickets have been sold to-date.

Daily times have also expended.

“Hosting Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience at the Wisconsin Center is something we couldn’t wait to share with the Milwaukee community, and we’re thrilled it will be extending its run through October,” said Marty Books, President and CEO of the WCD. “The WCD staff works on the values to Be Bold. Be Proud. Be Experience Obsessed, and the Beyond Van Gogh residency embodies all of those. It is an event which can’t be missed, and I’m so proud to be able to extend the run.”

The event encompasses the iconic flare of Van Gogh's vast body of work, officials say.

“We are deeply touched and humbly honored by the audience’s positive reaction and enthusiasm to Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” said Mathieu St-Arnaud, Creative Director and Partner, Normal Studios. “We wanted to create a very personal and awe-inspiring experience for the audience, so when we feel this appreciation, it’s the most wonderful feeling in the world; it’s why we do what we do, why we get up in the morning.”

Prices for the event start at $36.99 for adults. It is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the weekend.
