MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The expected high heat is putting more first responders on notice.
Bell Ambulance will have extra staff on hand. More ice and water is also being stocked in ambulances for both crews and anyone needed to be treated.
Most people at risk this weekend are young children and older adults.
First responders say to use your best judgment before you head outside.
"We do see a lot of heat-related illnesses especially anyone that's been outside exerting themselves, alcohol consumption makes you at higher risk for heat-related illnesses," said Training and Education Coordinator Ryan Janus.
First responders at larger outdoor events this weekend will also have extra staff and cooling supplies in case they are needed.Â
