Behind the scenes with 6th Street Theater in Racine ahead of final weekend of 'Kringle...The Musical'
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- If your family has Kringle at every holiday party, this play may be for you.
"Kringle,,,The Musical" has one more weekend of performances.
"We do song parodies. We don't take ourselves too seriously," said Rich Smith, the playwright. "We have fun on stage and sometimes the cast is having as much fun as the audience, maybe more."
It's musical and it's comedy. This is the fourth variation of Kringle... The Musical put on by Over Our Head Players at 6th Street Theater in Racine.
"We love the idea that Kringle is the state pastry and the Kringle musicals are always based on some evil villain coming to town and trying to steal the state pastry award from them," said Smith.
This year's villain is Kwik Tripkowski, and you can expect to hear many local references and nods in the show.
"Racine is all about Kringle," said Smith. "We wanted to have a laugh at ourselves and have some Kringle fun."
