Beaver Dam Man has Life Threatening Injuries after Crash

On Thursday, November 17 at 9:28 AM, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on County Highway S near South Center Road in Beaver Dam.

Preliminary investigation showed that 58-year-old Daniel Krueger from rural Mayville was driving a 2016 Mack semi-tractor with trailer east on Highway S. The other driver, 40-year-old Jeffrey Hildebrand of Beaver Dam was driving a 2006 Chevrolet west on Highway S. The Chevrolet drifted over the center roadway line and into the eastbound traffic lane, striking the rear wheels of the flatbed trailer.

There were no other occupants in either vehicle.

The semi driver was uninjured in the crash. The driver of the Chevy sustained life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to UW Hospital in Madison.

County Highway S was closed for more almost four hours while the crash was being investigated.
