Beaver Dam hit-and-run driver leaves pedestrian with critical injuries

BEAVER DAM -- Police are looking for a driver who hit a man and left him at the scene with life-threatening injuries.


Authorities say a 33-year-old man was hit from behind by a dark-colored car around 2:30 a.m. Sunday while crossing Madison Street near Lake Crest Drive in Beaver Dam.


The car was going between 40 and 45 m.p.h. and continued southbound on Madison Street. 


Witness statements indicate there may be significant damage to the right-front corner of the car and to the windshield. 


The victim remains in the hospital with severe injuries.
