Barrington's season over; Packers place linebacker on IR

Linebacker Sam Barrington's 2015 regular season didn't even last one game.

Barrington, spotted after the Packers season opener in a walking boot at Soldier Field, has been place on injured reserve, meaning his 2015 season is over. Barrington had taken on a larger role in the team's linebacker corps after starting seven games last season, but the Packers gave up 141 yards to Matt Forte Sunday, and they'll now face Marshawn Lynch and Jamaal Charles in their next two games with Nate Palmer and Jake Ryan getting an increased share of playing time.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network says it's a foot issue that's ending Barrington's season.
