Baldwin visits Milwaukee to talk job opportunities for low-income neighborhoods

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Senator Tammy Baldwin visited Milwaukee Monday, to find smart investment opportunities for the jobs of the future.

Sen. Baldwin spoke at the Northwest Side Community Development Corporation.

The group champions economic development projects designed to create jobs for low-income neighborhoods.

Baldwin says the need is critical.

"We need to do a better job of telling the stories of how positively impacts communities and how each dollar of federal investment actually leverages 3-4 dollars of local and private investment, and that's a win-win for our communities," said Sen. Baldwin D - Wisconsin.

The visit is especially important as Senator Baldwin is a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
