Badgers' Hayes named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

MADISON - Badgers freshman Nigel Hayes has grabbed the honor as the Big Ten's Freshman of the Week for his work against Prairie View A&M Saturday.
Hayes scored 10 points and added four rebounds, three blocks, two assists and a steal. The first-year player is averaging 5.5 points per game this season, good for fifth on the Badgers.
Wisconsin (13-0) starts conference play Thursday at Northwestern.
