Aussie news anchor butchers Giannis Antetokounmpo's name

AUSTRALIA (CBS 58) -- It's not as if Giannis Antetokounmpo's name is easy to pronounce, but one Australian news anchor really butchered the MVP's name live on air.

Basil Zempilas with Channel 7, was on air reporting about the Greek Freak's suspension after headbutting a Washington Wizards player. When he got to Giannis' last name, it took a turn for the worst.

Just watch:

Zempilas responded to the tweet saying, "Not my best work."

Back in 2017, ESPN shared a video with Giannis going through the different ways his last name can be pronounced. But we don't think Zempilas' interpretation is quite on.
