MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The defense attorney for one of the men accused of killing a Milwaukee County city worker is trying to get his confession thrown out.
Eric Smiley’s attorney says his client was coerced by investigators.
The defense argues officers promised leniency if Smiley gave up information about the carjacking that led to Greg Ziggy Zyszkiewicz’s death.
The judge ruled part of the confession would be dismissed. Smiley will be back in court next month.
