A beloved barbecue joint on Milwaukee's Northside is reopening after a series of setbacks in recent months.
It's a fresh start for Ashley's Bar-B-Que at 15th and Center.
The owners here are calling this a soft opening.
It's been months since a car rammed into the side of this building here, and they're ready to start serving their loyal customers again.
It's been a rough year for the family business.
This location not only had the car crash, but also a fire last November.
The other Ashley's Bar-B-Que on National Avenue also suffered a serious fire just last month.
The owner here tells us he thinks someone is trying to hurt his business on purpose, but he's not going to let it slow him down.
The owner here says there's no update yet on when their other location on National will open.
But here on Center Street they're starting to offer a new menu to celebrate the reopening, and are hoping to host a big party when it gets warmer out.
