Ascension Wisconsin COVID-19 frontline caregivers to receive vaccine on December 17

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Ascension Wisconsin is releasing new details on its COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan for frontline caregivers.

Ascension Wisconsin plans on holding its first vaccine clinic on Thursday, December 17. The first to receive the vaccine will be people working in the emergency departments, COVID-19 units and intensive care units.

“We are confident our plan will effectively and safely contribute to the protection of the communities we are privileged to serve,” Ascension Wisconsin Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Greg Brusko said in a statement. “As we await widespread distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines, it will be critical for our entire community to continue wearing masks, watching distance from others and washing hands frequently to protect ourselves and those around us.”

More information on the vaccine can be found on the Ascension Wisconsin website.
