MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A warm and sunny day like today was perfect for some BBQ and time outside with furry friends.
On Milwaukee partnered with B.93.3 to host their annual Bark and BBQ Festival on the Harley Davidson Museum Campus on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Thousands of dogs and their owners could shop from dozens of vendors, play in agility courses, ball pits and more.
They also held contests for best trick, bark, and wag.
"Oh, I get to pet dogs all day! I mean, I've pet so many dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, fluffy dogs, not fluffy dogs. It's just a great event and everyone's in such a positive mood because who doesn't love their pooch," said Michelle Rutkowski, VP programming and operations, Milwaukee Radio Alliance.
The event is also doing some good. The proceeds from some of the courses and ball pits benefited Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, who help sick and injured dogs find medical care and even help their owners with the vet bills.
