Anderson's 18 sparks Marquette to win in Big East home opener

Juan Anderson's 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting helped Marquette beat Providence 75-66 Saturday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in MU's first conference home game of the 2014-15 season.

Luke Fischer added 11 points, including some key plays in the second half after the two teams went into the locker room at the half tied at 33. JaJuan Johnson added 9 points and 10 rebounds. 

Marquette is now 9-5, 1-1 in conference play after dropping its Big East opener at DePaul Wednesday. The Golden Eagles head to Georgetown to play Tuesday evening.
