(CBS 58) – The American Red Cross says it is facing an emergency blood shortage.
Anyone who donates blood or platelets from July 29-August 29 will receive a $5 Amazon.com gift card.
Currently, the Red Cross has less than a three-day supply of most blood types.
Anyone can schedule an appointment or learn about scheduled blood donation opportunities online or by calling the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767.
