Hundreds went to the Amazon location in Kenosha Wednesday looking for employment.
The company started an initiative to hire 50,000 workers, including 1500 in Kenosha. Applicants registered at the welcome tent, took a tour of Amazons facility and were able to utilize the application center to get job offers on the spot.
Amazon says the national hiring campaign is a result of increased demand. And they were excited to see the turnout to fill those jobs.
"Were working for enthusiastic, hard working and associates who are dedicated to providing great
Customer service, and we're exited to have you see first-hand what it's like to work at Amazon," Amazon spokesperson Alyssa Tran said.
The event lasted from 8 a.m. to noon. Amazon says if you didn't make it, they still have positions, and you can apply online.
