All Eyes on The Icy Fox River for Flood Potential

(Wheatland)--This spring could spell trouble on the Fox River, especially in Kenosha County. The river typically floods every spring but this year it could be worse seeing how cold and snowy it's been not to mention the coverage of the thicker ice.

CBS58 spent some time in Wheatland on Wednesday and discovered those who live and work in this town hope Mother Nature will give them a kinder, gentler spring with a slow thaw in addition to lighter rain events.

The massive ice jams we're seeing in Illinois and Indiana don't normally happen here. Damage caused by them is usually covered under your homeowner's insurance policy.
