After a rainy start to October, more could end the month

The first 10 days of October featured 4.07” of rainfall…over FOUR INCHES of rain the first ten days of the month! Is that more impressive, or is the fact we have had only 0.03” of rain ever since?! The last fifteen days have been very dry in the Badger State, especially southeastern Wisconsin. That’s about to change!

We are tracking a more disruptive weather pattern to end the month of October with a few disturbances. The first is pressing east and could impact the region with isolated showers starting late tonight and tomorrow. These will be very hit and miss, and more than likely, could bring drizzle or just cloudy conditions. This feature could usher in a chance of showers on Saturday as well. By Sunday, another system coming in from Canada will give the viewing area an opportunity for showers, even a light mix.

Rain totals will be light from both of these waves with 0.10” to 0.20”. Monday and Tuesday look to be drier and sunny, but more rain could be on the way by the middle of next week. That’s obviously not good timing since Halloween is Wednesday! We’ll be watching it closely!
