MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- When the North Leg segment of the Zoo Interchange project is completed, a 12-year run of major road construction in that area will come to an end.
CBS 58's Bill Walsh spoke with some drivers who will be happy to see it finished.
Jordan Bell, who says she uses I-41/US 45 frequently, says she will be more than happy to see the orange cones go away.
"It's frustrating, we pay taxes, you expect the roads to be done a little bit sooner than that for sure," she said.
Other drivers, like Spenser Hicks, say they see the need for better roads and modern bridges.
"I think the improvements are necessary, the wider lanes are better," he said.
The project was hit with delays from budgetary concerns, but most seem to agree, 12 years is a long time to drive through construction.
