Brewers fans welcome Cubs to Milwaukee for first time in 2026
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As part of the city's Black History Month celebration, a series of film screenings, conversations and events will be taking place throughout the month of February.
Milwaukee Film is showcasing the screenings as part of its Black Lens program.
Screenings include:
- The African Desperate on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.
- Black Love Through a Black Lens Shorts on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 12 p.m.
- Loudmouth on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.
- Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 12 p.m.
- Fire Music on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m.
- An Oversimplification of Her Beauty on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 12 p.m.
To discuss the screenings as well as the other events being offered during Milwaukee Film's Black History Month celebration, we were joined on Monday, Feb. 6 by Geraud Blanks, Chief Innovation Officer with Milwaukee Film and Deiva Motley, Program Coordinator with Black Lens.
