Admirals Clinch Playoff Spot

Led by a 25-save performance from reigning AHL Goalie of the Month Juuse Saros, the Admirals punched their ticket to the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs with a 2-0 win over the San Antonio Rampage on Saturday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Milwaukee is back in to the post-season after a one-year hiatus and it marks the 13th time in the past 14 seasons they have made it.

The playoffs will start the week of April 18, but specific dates, times, and opponents will be announced at a later date.

The Admirals are currently in first place in the Central Division with 91 points on a 43-21-3-2 record. They have points in eight straight games (6-0-0-2) and are three points up on Lake Erie for second place. Milwaukee is looking for their first division crown since the 2010-11 campaign.

While individual game tickets for the playoffs are not on sale yet, fans can purchase playoff packages, which allow for the same seat to all potential post-season contests, for as little as $225. For more information on playoff packages fans can click here.

Max Reinhart gave the Admirals a 1-0 lead with just 1:24 left first period as he scored for the second straight game. The play started when Patrick Mullen created a turnover deep in the Milwaukee zone. He fired a pass 100-feet to Reinhart at the blueline and with a head of steam Reinhart swooped in an San Antonio goalie Reto Bera, pulling him out of position and lifting an easy backhand over Bera's outstretched pad.

Jaime Devane's first goal since January 30th gave the Ads a 2-0 advantage mid-way through the second. Pontus Aberg had the puck in the right corner and he found Devane's tape on the door step of the Rampage goal for an easy tap-in.

Saros continued his brilliant play, running his season record to 25-7 and earning his eighth win in his past 10 starts.

The Admirals will head out on a four-game roadtrip beginning Tuesday night in Winnipeg against the Manitoba Moose.

The Admirals return home to the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Tuesday, April 12 when they host the Chicago Wolves in Amtrak Rivalry Action at 7 pm. Fans can purchase tickets for the game by calling the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550 or online at milwaukeeadmirals.com.
