Milwaukee Parishioners pay tribute to Brewers World Series Championship win
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- The pews were filled with Brewers fans Sunday morning at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
The church held a World Series Mass of Thanksgiving.
Most Reverend Bishop Jeffrey Haines led the mass, honoring the gift of sports and the role it plays in bringing community together.
Those in attendance say it combines two things they love, their parish and their home team.
“This is a big deal for our city, for the Brewers taking it home finally," said parishioner, Corie Becker. "Better late than never and we are just really proud that our church recognizes the importance of how sports in the community effects all of the people.”
The Mass was filled with parishioners paying tribute to their team and World Series Champions, wearing their Brewers gear with pride.
