MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hundreds of activists didn't let rain hold them back on Saturday to protest in favor of climate change legislation.
Protesters outside of the Milwaukee County Courthouse demanded leaders to take the threat of climate change seriously.
The rally was just one of many events planned around the world.
"We are here to urge, not only our government and we are there but to let people understand how we have to change and how we have to transition in terms of this climate crisis to something that's good for all of us on earth," said George Martin, Climate Activist.
The group wants Governor Tony Evers to declare a State of Emergency.
They also want government to use completely renewable energy by 2050.
