Wisconsin health facilities alerted after National guardsmen arrive at wrong locations requesting vaccine

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin health facilities were alerted Wednesday, Jan. 13, after National Guard members arrived at two locations unannounced, asking to pick up the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the Wisconsin DHS, staff believed it to be suspicious and called local law enforcement.

It was initially thought that the individuals may have been posing as National Guardsmen.

Major Joe Trovato of the National Guard says it was simply a mistake -- the individuals are members of the National Guard, and they simply went to the wrong locations.
