Family marks 2 years since Jayme Closs escaped after 88 days in captivity
BARRON, Wis. (CBS 58) --- Sunday, Jan. 10 marks two years since Jayme Closs escaped after 88 days in captivity and returned home.
Closs's family posted a message on Facebook in honor of the anniversary, recognizing her bravery and thanking the community for the support.
Her family also shared that Closs, who is now 15-years-old, is doing well and that she is surrounded by a lot of loved ones.
Closs was declared missing in October of 2018 after she was abducted from her family's home in Barron.
Jake Patterson shot and killed her parents and kidnapped her for months before she escaped in January 2019.
Patterson was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for the murders and kidnapping.
