84th Street Eastbound Exit to Close Until June

With this week's weather causing some back-ups on the road drivers should be aware of another source of slowdown coming Wednesday morning.

That's when the Eastbound 84th street exit ramp closes on I-94 long term. That the exit immediately before the Pettit National Ice Center and the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.

The weather actually pushed this project back a day. But now the construction will push drivers onto alternate routes through West Allis for months.

"Specifically Greenfield Avenues and Bluemound Road are really good alternate routes for the East and West directions - specifically for the Eastbound lane restriction," Jason Roselle, supervisor of the Zoo Interchange construction project, said.
