A new MADACC program brings live music to shelter pets
Milwaukee Police are investigating a carjacking and subsequent crash that happened on Tuesday, May 2. The initial carjacking took place around 3:45 PM in the 4100 block of N. 14th Street.
The victim, a 66-year-old Milwaukee man, was approached by a man who pointed a gun at him and demanded his keys. The suspect then fled in the victim’s 2013 Lincoln MKX.
A short time later the MKX was spotted in the 5300 block of N. 29th Street. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop near Sherman and Capitol but the MKX fled and officers were not able to continue to attempt a pursuit. The MKX lost control near Sherman and Locust and hit a light pole.
The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
