62-year-old woman struck by vehicle near 22nd and Hopkins; driver arrested

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 62-year-old woman was seriously hurt after being struck by a vehicle near 22nd and Hopkins Streets on Sunday, Dec. 22. 

According to police, a 61-year-old Milwaukee man hit the woman around 7:45 p.m., as she walked into the street. 

Police said the crash does not appear to be intentional. 

The 61-year-old man stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. He was later arrested for not having a valid driver's license. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
