62-Year-old woman struck and killed near 35th & Highland

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say a 62-year-old Milwaukee woman has died after being struck by a vehicle near 35th & Highland early Monday.
Preliminary reports say the woman ran into traffic in an attempt to cross 35th Street at 5:20 a.m. when she was struck by an SUV.
The 53-year-old driver of the Ford Explorer remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
The driver has not been cited.
