52-year-old man dies after being crushed by car in Washington County
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 52-year-old man died after becoming trapped underneath his vehicle.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a home on Main Street in the Village of Newburg for a report of a man trapped underneath a vehicle.
Upon arrival, authorities found the man trapped and not breathing. Lifesaving measures were attempted but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the individual was working underneath a vehicle, supported by jacks and jack stands when the vehicle fell onto the man.
It is unknown how long the man was trapped prior to being found by a family member.
The investigation remains ongoing Foul play does not appear to be a factor.
