GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Glendale Police Department says an officer attempted to stop a vehicle displaying a stolen license plate on Saturday, May 11. 

It happened near Silver Spring and Washington around 4:46 p.m. 

Police say the vehicle fled. The fleeing vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid stop sticks that were being deployed. 

Two vehicles were struck by the fleeing vehicle. Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old man from Milwaukee, fled on foot. He was arrested a short time later. 

There were no other people in the fleeing vehicle. The two-vehicles struck suffered minor injuries and were not transported to a hospital. 

Police say the fleeing vehicle was not stolen, and the charges will be reviewed by the Milwaukee Co. D. A.'s Office.
