WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It started as a family tradition and now it's helping feed the hungry.
Friends, family, and even strangers got together to play a little tag football at West Allis Central on Thanksgiving morning.
What was just a family game, came to include friends, and now is welcome for all to play.
It was the 20th year for the 'Turkey Bowl' tradition and it's still going strong.
"Every year it keeps getting bigger and bigger and it's only going to keep getting bigger because now we have little kids, cousins, and everything so it's just going to keep growing as years go on," said participant Liz Weil.
Each player is asked to bring a donation for the Hunger Task Force.
On Friday, the family dropped everything off to the Hunger Task Force.
They collected a total of 458 pounds of food and $50 in donations.
