2013 Milwaukee homicide numbers eclipse 2012's

MILWAUKEE -- There's a growing anger and frustration in the City of Milwaukee about another milestone the city hit for a second year in a row. The November 18th murder of a 59-year-old grandmother was 2013's 93rd murder for the City of Milwaukee. 2013 homicide numbers have officially eclipsed the previous years.

Police taped off the murder scene of a 59-year-old grandmother on Milwaukee's south side. The 59-year-old victim was shot and killed in her home.

Witnesses tell us they heard between eight to ten shots around 8:45 p.m. on November 18th. There are bullet holes in the side of the house where the shooting happened. We're hearing police took five to six people into custody, but police have not confirmed the exact amount of arrests made in this case.

A woman who lives nearby says she's hearing more and more gunshots in her south side neighborhood. She says that's usually a summer trend, but tends to stop when the temperature drops.
