2 dead after crash in Fond du Lac County

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 19-year-old Rosendale woman and a 64-year-old Ripon man are dead after a two-vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County.

Police say initial reports indicate that a driver headed eastbound crossed the center line and crashed into a vehicle headed westbound.

Witnesses indicate that the eastbound vehicle had previously crossed the centerline once already before coming back in the line of travel, and then crossed again before striking the westbound vehicle.

The eastbound vehicle was the 19-year-old woman, and the westbound vehicle was the 64-year-old man.

Witnesses say the 19-year-old woman may have been distracted by the use of a cell phone.

This is an ongoing investigation.
