MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal car crash that happened on Tuesday, December 15.
According to police, two cars were involved in the crash near N. Sherman Blvd. and W. North Ave. around 6 p.m.
A 13-year-old passenger in one of the vehicles died. The two drivers were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A neighbor said as a parent he has concerns about the intersection.
“Unfortunately, we see quite a bit. It seems like it has A lot gotten worse over the last year. We know the intersection here Sherman is pretty bad. It’s almost weekly we hear a crash and we have to come out here and see what happened and we hope some different lighting can be put in or different signals to prevent those kinds of accidents in the future,” David Melby-Gibbons said.
The investigation into the circumstances is ongoing, but speeding appears to be a factor.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360 or Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or P3 Tips App.
